This is A Play by Daniel MacIvor reveals the inner thoughts of three actors as they perform a new piece of theatre. It explores what goes on inside an actor’s head when performing a production; their insecurities, their dissatisfaction with their fellow actors, the subtext behind their lines and their feelings on lettuce. This play gives the audience a glimpse behind the 4th wall through a comedic lens and allows theatre artists to recognize themselves within players on stage. This is A Play invites the audience to view the theatrical process and look behind the curtain through MacIvor’s cheeky dialogue and absurdist ideas.
